Seamless steel pipe

Seamless steel pipes are formed by rolling a preheated steel billet onto a mandrel. The mandrel is then removed from the rolled blank and cooled in a water bath to prepare for the next rolling process. This preparation also includes a graphite coating on the mandrel to ensure that the mandrel is well lubricated during the rolling process, which plays a decisive role in the subsequent quality of the seamless steel pipe.
